My rate for print production services, including typesetting, is 30 € per hour, billed in half-hour increments.
Each typesetting project has slightly different requirements, but as a rough guide, the initial pass for a typical 200-page book averages 5–6 hours of work, amounting to 150–180 €. This assumes delivery of a manuscript file that has been properly edited and organized. Publications with many images or charts, or with other unique needs, require additional time and can introduce additional technical requirements. From experience, revisions, which are at the discretion of the author or client, can range from a few minutes to dozens of hours of work, so they cannot be estimated reliably.
